This book is part of my 2016 challenge!
I must admit that I don’t like to read a lot of poetry, but I’m so thankful that I read this amazing book! This is Rupi Kaur collection of poetry and prose about survival. It is split into four chapters, and each chapter serves a different purpose, deals with a different pain, heals a different heartache.
Some of the poems are short and some longer. I thought the short ones were better; they had a better flow to them. However, the longer poems were amazing as well.
Kaur’s words just get to you in a way I can’t explain. By just a sentence she captures the deepest human emotions and reading her poems I felt understood and not alone.
This is an easy read with great illustrations. If you only going to read one book of poetry in your life, it should be this one.
