This book is part of my 2015 reading challenge

When I first saw the cover of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies I knew I had to read it. The fact that this book is a mash-up between the classic story by Jane Austen and Seth Grahame-Smith’s own zombie world is amazing.

This is the story of the Bennet family and our heroine Elizabeth Bennet is a superhero determined to wipe out all the zombies but gets distracted when the arrogant Mr. Darcy arrives to here small town. While reading this book I was surprised how much of the classic story still was there. This was both good and bad, I thought. Grahame-Smith follows Jane Austen storyline, but has put in new scenes of zombie slaughter. This is a great idea and I enjoyed reading this book, however the zombie mayhem was few and the original storyline took over too much in my opinion.

It’s worth reading, but I just wished there were more of Grahame-Smith rather than Jane Austen.
