This book is part of my 2015 reading challenge

This is the story of the Moorcraft family. One awful day one of their identical twin daughter, Lydia, dies in an accident. One year after the accident the family moves to the tiny Scottish island, hoping to put together the family. But when their surviving daughter, Kirstie, starts to claim they have mistaken her for Lydia their world comes crashing down once again. This book is intense in every way. It’s full of secretes, lies and twists. You are on the edge all the time. I found myself hooked, always wanting to know more. I liked the characters because they were far from perfect, which made them real. The surviving twin, Kirstie (or is it Lydia?) was creepy and you never knew where you had her.

There were two main reasons why I didn’t give this book five out of five and the first thing was the length. This book was too long and could have been shortened and still interesting. The other thing was the mother in this story. She was beyond annoying. I couldn’t relay to her or the way she handled most of the situations at all. It was frustrating and slowed down the reading for me.

The writing is good and the plot amazing. I do recommend this book to anybody that like suspense novels.
